THE SONICE EXPERIENCE -SNØHETTA is a solo album of Norwegian saxophonist Kristin Sevaldsen and her own compositions and mixes, based on fieldrecordings from the mount Snøhetta area. 

A retelling about these surroundings in sound form.
 


Kristin Sevaldsen says:
"I have brought the sound of the national shrine mount Snøhetta on the Dovrefjell barrier into the studio, and further composed five musical states, or sonic experiences. The starting point was the raw field recordings I collected while hiking in this specific mountain area back in August 2019."


With this album Kristin Sevaldsen invites you to explore with her, the sonic landscape in this environment. The sceneries, situations and scenarios she was surrounded by during the days visiting the queen of the Norwegian mountains, -Snøhetta.

This is a one-of-a-kind recording beyond common conventions of what you might expect from a saxophonist. It's relaxing and meditative while also bearing in mind the artist's awareness of climate and environmental protection.
